Title: Losing Ground: A Willow Short Story
Author: Alice Rachel
Format: Paperback (review copy)
Genre: Dystopia, Romance, Young Adult
Started: December 5, 2016

The day Willow met Chi for the first time was the day her heart broke, the day she betrayed the one boy she had ever loved, the day she made a decision that could never be undone.
This one hell of a novella. It helped me see things in Willow’s point of view but it really annoyed the hell out of me. But don’t get me wrong, I love the author’s works. It just the fact that Willow is really annoying. She so easy to manipulate. It seems that she can’t do things on her own. And when she decides to do things on her own, it would be too late for her or for anyone. She can’t seem to make up her mind. She keeps doubting herself, making her seem weak–
to be honest, she is.
The plot is great, I’ll give her that. (I love the entire plot of all Ms. Alice books). The main character of this novella is… [refer to the first paragraph]. The side character, though, were great. Stephen and Chi, both of them are great. But Stephen would be on top.
The world building is on point, in my own opinion. It was easy to get into it because I have read the other books already.
This book didn’t give much feels. Everything I felt while reading it was negative. Willow’s too annoying.
The writing style of Ms. Alice is on point, as well. It is so easy to understand the whole story. Her writing style is the reason why I am so into the book.
